e-Campaign Business Edition supports four email delivery methods: via its built-in SMTP server (ie. “Direct Sending”), SMTP server, Microsoft Exchange Server, or Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) Pickup Folder.

 

Many businesses use Microsoft Exchange Server as their email server software, and don’t offer SMTP accounts. V6 Business edition added support for sending email via Exchange. So far, this is the only bulk email software that is capable of interacting with Exchange.

Recent versions of Windows (XP, 2003, and Vista) include Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) server.  e-Campaign Business edition offers you the ability to send email via IIS’s SMTP pickup folder. This feature is especially useful if you run e-Campaign on a dedicated Windows 2003 server.
